Training requirements to access 1080 baits (Victoria)

From January 1, 2008 users of 1080 baits must have completed a special training course and have the appropriate endorsement to their Agricultural Chemical Users Permit in order to purchase baits containing 1080.

Commercial Operators also require this training.

See the DPI 1080 website for additional information: http://www.dpi.vic.gov.au/1080

To undertake the 1080 training, people must have completed the AgVet Farm Chemical Users Course or equivalent training or have obtained an Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP) issued by the Department of Primary Industries (Vic).

The 1080 training course is designed to make certain that users know how to use the products safely and to minimise the possibility of off-target damage.
